IP Office telephones for the Avaya IP Office system come in both digital and IP (VOIP). The digital IP Office telephones plug into digital station ports on the IP Office. The Avaya IP Telephones integrate into the Data Network and do not require an available station port on the system, they communicate to the digital world by way of the voice compression module (VCM). The digital phones are standard two wire (one pair) sets and come in a wide range of styles and sizes. The IP (VOIP) telephones integrate into the network via a Hub/Switch and require power be provided either by the Hub/Switch (Power over Ethernet) or from a local power supply that you can purchase as a package with the IP Telephone.

The IP Office system also supports many telephones originally purchased for other Avaya and Lucent phone systems, giving you the convenience of using your existing Avaya business phones with your new Avaya IP Office phone system.
