I work in a small office using the Norstar system 616. Just last week, only two lines work out of the 4 lines available. There are no dial tones on lines 3 and 4. I don't know whether this has anything to do with it but the building shut off all the power the day before. Has anyone else had this problem and how do we fix this problem? Thanks.

Sounds like your system has a bad capacitor in the softare sleeve, when the power went out your system defaulted its programming. You can re-programm the system but it will default as soon as the power goes out. You either need to find an installer that will change out the capacitor, or think about upgrading your 616 to a CICS.

I have the same problem. System resets back to default during power outage. Does anyone know which capacitor need to be replaced?
